Display your Faith With a Celtic Cross Tatoo
There are many reasons why the design of the cross may be in this format, but many theories point to the crosses as predating the arrival of Christians to the region.
It is also a possibility that the design reflects the blending of two very different cultures and peoples. This figure is found all over the British Isles in a wide variety of forms, and you'll find some extremely ancient examples of the Celtic crosses in the forests and parks. When you look at the Celtic cross, you are looking at a piece of history that goes back thousands of years.
If you are interested in a Celtic cross tatoo, there is a good chance that you are interested in the art of the area of the world. Celtic knotwork, with its intricate loops and intertwining, has a great deal to recommend it to tattoo design, but remember that you want to make sure that your artist has a good history with the style.
When you are looking into getting a Celtic cross tatoo, take a look around. You'll find lots of interesting examples of this figure in the most unlikely places. Focus your search on cathedrals and graveyards and you'll be sure to get plenty of different sources of information for your tattoo!
Remember that the more intricate you want the detailing on this piece, the larger it will be; there are many people who have a Celtic cross as a backpiece or a chestpiece. If this design suits you, make sure that it's big enough to be seen and that the lines won't blur together over time!

I reckon it is. I'm fed up of it as well, like most Scottish and Welsh people. You've got to remember that most people are total f*ckwits, and trying to get them to remember facts about their own country let alone another is a lost cause. Just feel superior when you hear them refer to Britain or the UK as England.

From the Yorkshire Wolds to the Outer Hebrides and Ireland, the British Isles are a motorist’s paradise. Here are some of our favourite routes The Atlantic Highway, England Start: Abandon the M5 at Bridgwater (J23) amid watercolour landscapes of the Somerset Levels heading west on the A39, my favourite UK driving road. Route (135 miles): It’s easy: follow the A39, ignore your map/satnav and concentrate on stupendous views instead. On one side of the road are increasingly wild hills; on the other, some of Britain’s best coastline. End: Bude’s muddle of windy dunes, Victoriana and surfing marks the first seaside town in Cornwall but stay on the A39 for foodie Padstow or Newquay, the surfers’ party town. Look out for: Charming, little-known villages of the Quantocks and Brendon Hills; the National Trust’s cutesy Selworthy village; the view from Lynmouth’s water-powered cliff funicular railway; and scenic detours to Ilfracombe and Combe Martin’s rocky seashores and Hartland’s bohemian…

The story of how I came to love this record is a strange one. I was crate digging in a local junk shop (Harry Vincent’s on Rawlinson Street) circa 1985 and came across this promo on The Housemartins’/The La’s label, “Go! Discs”. To find a promo in this far flung corner of the British Isles at all was weird, to find one that was modern and had a connection to a couple of bands that I really loved was even more strange. I duly paid my pound and took it home. I was in for a wonderful surprise.
Didn't Michael Scott show a video on this issue on an episode of The Office? It was damn funny!
