Does anyone know how much a Celtic armband tattoo should cost?

I know it varies by tattoo artist, etc, but does anyone know of maybe a possible range or pricing that one could expect to pay? I'm looking to get a Celtic knot weave type arm band around my bicep. Possibly both arms, but I'm wondering what a good price range would be first. I would prefer the knotwork to be about 1.5 - 2 inches in width, and obviously continue around the entire arm and connect. Most likely just want the ink to be all black with no other colors, or dark outlines with shading to enhance the look of the knotwork. Also looking for a good website or place to find information on various knots and Celtic meanings for tattoos.

The price really depends on where you live. In a big city, it might cost $300, but then in a small town, it might only be $100. It would be best to just pop in to a studio and get an estimate. As far as a site for looking at celtic tattoos:

I think the swallow tattoo will keep it's meaning, "Free as a bird", it's been a traditional tattoo for anyone getting out of the Armed forces or upon being released from prison (or anything similar) in the UK for as long as inking has existed, I see no reason for it's significance to change anytime soon…

Try the google image search. You type in Celtic armband tattoo, or whatever your looking for and it will give you lots of pictures to look at. Pick out the pictures you like the most, print them out and take them to the shop with you. You tell them what parts of which pictures you like and they can put it together for you and tell you what will work best with what you show them. The pictures don't have to be actual armband tattoos either, just whatever design you like.
